The Gravy Boat 22 – Mick Hucknall’s Magic Powers

Gosh, it’s only been a week and you’re already treated to another wonderful episode of my favourite podcast, The Gravy Boat.  I’m joined again by “The Ordinary” Helen Speedway and her FA Cup-style ball bag of topics.  Some of the pulsating issues of the day that we cover are Mick Hucknall, magic powers, mums, freaky kinks and, errr, Hitler.

The Gravy Boat 21: Lesbians & Inventions

In this edition of The Gravy Boat, I’m joined by special guest “The Vincible” Helen Speedway for an exploration of topics which include lesbians, life-changing inventions, inappropriate hair and our most hated foods. It’s tremendous.

The Gravy Boat – Episode 19

This episode of The Gravy Boat welcomes “Inside The Actor’s Boudoir” – a masterclass in the craft of acting from ‘distinguished’ stage actor Clive Memmryfoam.  It’s incredible that a 10 minute long podcast could contain so many pearls of wisdom for any budding actors.  Have a listen now, it’s an indispensable guide to stagecraft.

The Gravy Boat – Episode 18

I’ve got absolutely no explanation for what this episode of The Gravy Boat is about or even what it’s supposed to be.  You’re just going to have to have a listen.

The Gravy Boat – Episode 17

This episode of The Gravy Boat features an exclusive extract from the revolutionary 192-disk self help course, Karl Sétskwárr’s The Sétskwárr Method.  Let Karl guide you through his life and a stunning guided meditation.  It might just change your life.  It probably won’t.

On a more mundane note, I recorded this episode on my netbook’s in-built microphone rather than on my iPhone.  I know the quality isn’t as good, but is it still acceptable or do I need to invest in an external mic?

Subliminal Gravy Request

The Time: Yesterday, at dinner.

The Place: Weatherspoons (It doesn’t matter which one.  It was full of alkies and people after cheap food.  It could be any of them)

The Event: My dinner arrived replete with miniature gravy boat.

The meaning:  Weatherspoons are trying to persuade me to do another episode of my excellent podcast through the medium of crockery.  Who would have thought it?

Until the next episode appears, why not listen to the last episode here:

The Gravy Boat – Episode 16

In a change of pace from the usual Gravy Boat idiocy, we get a first hand account of the true explanation for Nazi Germany’s defeat in the war.  To be honest, it might not be what you expect…

The Gravy Boat – Episode 15

Hello everybody, it’s been a while.  Well, it’s been a while since my last podcast.  I’m blogging all the time.

Anyway, I was slightly apprehensive about creating a new podcast after so long, so I used a special book to give me some ideas.  Why not have a listen and discover what that book was and whether or not it gave me any useful advice.

p.s.

It didn’t.

p.p.s.

It wasn’t the Bible.

The Gravy Boat – Episode 14

I’m proud to bring you this Gravy Boat Easter special.  Not only do I regale you with news of my new bonnets, but there’s an e-mail from James and this inspires a re-telling of my favourite Bible story, “The Grumpy Farmer’s Son”.  To be fair, this is a very loose interpretation of the tale and it certainly peters out towards the end.  But, it is Easter and you could do with a bit of biblical knowledge, so pay close attention.
