BBC Radio Pub Quiz

Ok, I know I’m banging on a bit about this now, but let me have my moment of glory.  Last night, I made a guest appearance on BBC Radio Leeds\Yorkshire’s Late Show, thanks to my good friend, and 6 Music legend, Vic McGlynn.  I was asking some pub quiz questions that were anything other than your traditional quiz questions (i.e. it was me being really stupid).

If you’d like to listen, then check out this link (presumably for the next 7 days):

The quiz starts at 1:25:00 into the show. Enjoy.

P.s.

I’m not suggesting that you start a campaign to plead with the BBC to get the pub quiz as a regular show on one of their national networks. I’m not suggesting that at all.

P.p.s.

The photo above was very much a staged publicity-style shot  taken for vanity-based reasons and in no way represents what really happened during the broadcast.

You have the Alan Partridge sneer down pat.

I am on the radio over here and it’s really good fun – if a bit nerve wracking

I’m getting compared to Alan Partridge a little too much lately, for my liking!

How often are you on the radio? What sort of show is it? Strangely, I wasn’t really nervous – despite it being the BBC – as I was essentially sat in a room talking to my mate. It’s more nerve-wracking doing an actual pub quiz in front of real people – although now I just love doing that too!

I am on World Radio Switzerland on a kind of panel show where I make random comments about stuff. You can find it on their website, The Connectors is the programme I am on.

I have been compared to Alan Partridge literally every time I am on air.

World Radio Switzerland sounds impressive – I’m assuming it’s an En glish language show! I’ll check out the show, it sounds very intriguing! What’s the relevance of the name “The Connectors”?

It’s in English. The thought of doing radio in French fills me with horror.

I don’t know what the ‘connectors’ moniker is all about.

The Connectors sounds like the name of a straight-to-DVD action flick starring JCVD or Seagal.

ROFL. I thought more like something in the ’70′s with Lee Marvin about spy networks in the Eastern Bloc. I personally hate the name, but it’s quite a good show nevertheless.

    NOTICE:

Just spotted this post again – it’s a terrible photo of me. I can only apologise to anybody that’s seen it.
