Sign of the Times

Every time I drive past Chapel Walks garage in Warrington, I see the sign and laugh.  I’ve attempted to take a photo of it a few times and this is my best effort.  You can’t really make out what it says, but I’m pretty sure that it’s:

Polite Notice:

Mark Croft & Kerry Katona are not partners in this car servicing and car sales business.

Now, exactly how low has your stock sunk when random garages feel the need to tell you that you’re not affiliated with them?  It’s not good.  Is it only garages that have a problem with Katona and her ex, or can we expect to see similar signs outside the Co-op?  It’s a worrying trend.  What if all buildings had to have signs outside proclaiming everybody who wasn’t involved.  It would be an admin nightmare.

The madness has got to stop.  I’m taking my “Shane Richie doesn’t live here” sign out of the front window immediately.

That is so utterly and completely bizarre.

I would like you – as a piece of investigative journalism – to ask the owners: why?

I didn’t google this beforehand as I knew there was probably a logical explanation. Having googled now, it seems that Croft is alleged to be a partner of this business on several web-sites. I guess that after all Katona’s financial issues that the garage want to distance themselves from any creditors.

      Rather a boring explanation, sadly.

But isn’t she raking it in? There’s the ASDA adverts (they’re not Fresh & Wild, I know, but still; think of all the money she must be saving) and she is dating the hit machine that is Peter Andre and Hello! take pictures of her house more than a local estate agent.

Sadly, I think that she has gone bankrupt – although I can’t be sure of this and I can’t be arsed googling it. Apologies to KK if this is not actually true. It’s a cruel world in which a woman of Kerry’s immense talents can have financial worries.
