No Time To Blog: Day 7 – Conclusions

It’s finally time to bring No Time To Blog to an end (for now).  It’s been one of the longest weeks of my life, but what have we learnt from the endeavour?  Probably nothing, but I’ll summarise the week and we’ll see if anything falls out.

Day 1 – Start the ‘experiment’ because I didn’t have time to write any proper posts and I didn’t want to give up daily updates.  Felt a bit apprehensive about the idea before it really started.  Attended a Dell briefing in Bracknell, heard some lads make bird calls at the train station.  Praised and slagged off British Rail in equal measure.

Day 2 – Had some breakfast and watched Come Dine With Me.  Had some dinner and told you about Dimension Hopping.  Got home and complained about not having enough time to watch telly.

Day 3 – Started the day by complaining about how bad an idea No Time To Blog is, then told you that I’d be attending a wedding reception that night.  I blog from the wedding to say that the buffet was nice.

Day 4 – I recapped the music and dancing situation at the wedding.  I made my 100th post on PSGOM and let you know that I’d finally done written some proper posts.

Day 5 – I talked about what I watched on telly the night before.  In a low point for the project I published a post that was both short and rambling.

Day 6 – I apologised for the previous night’s awful post and I talked a bit about what TV programmes I’d been watching.

Day 7 – I welcome the end of the experiment.  I desperately tried to get some extra blog hits with a post that couldn’t help but fail.  I write this post.

From this, I can deduce the following:

  • The idea was essentially flawed and I didn’t enjoy doing it. I will, however, inevitably end up doing it again.
  • It should have really been called, No Time To Blog Properly.  I clearly had time to blog frequently and shoddily.
  • It was a kind of uninteresting diary.

And that’s about it.  In some ways, the fact that I wasn’t happy with the outcomes is a lesson in itself.  At least that’s what I’m going to tell myself.  Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
