Sex Sells 2: French Poker Mayhem

Just when you thought it was safe to read my blog, it’s another boring update on how many hits I’ve been getting (see Sex Sells for the original bore-fest).

When I wrote Sex Sells on the 25th June, the top ranking post for this blog was Food Update, with a magnificent 14 hits.  This post now has incredibly received 15 whole hits.  It has, however, been overtaken by several posts, including My New Love For The Radio (17 hits) and MBM – Whoopsie In My Beret (17hits).  Not surprisingly, Sex Sells is now the highest ranking post with 42 hits, which kind of proves that sex does indeed sell.  Over on Sherby57, the most popular post was Genetic Engineering – Has It Gone Too Far? with 1768 hits (plus 280 related hits).  In July, this has now risen to 2031 hits (plus 287).

The average number of hits that PSGOM received as a whole was particularly poor, with a grand total of 0.7 per day.  I’m happy to say that over the month of July this rose to a majestic 5.0 hits per day.  Sherby57 slightly improved on the 16 hits per day that I counted to 17.8 per day across July (actually down from June’s average of 23.6).  Anyway, I’ve bored even myself now, so on to the weird bit.

I was having a bit of a mooch round on the internet for mentions of Sherby57 (sad, I know), when I came across the following link:

Who’s that in the photo with the caption “Ma teub s’est transformée en banane!!”? Yes, it’s our good friend Mr Banana Penis.  The guy is bloody famous on a french poker forum!  Bizarrely, there was a separate thread on the same forum which also had the same photo on it (the link is no longer working).  What is the strange link between poker in France, and a man with a banana penis? Can someone translate the page and give me some clues as to what is going on? The legend of the banana penis continues to grow.
